Invite a colleague to borrow a power bank, then ask them to stop halfway through the payment. Can they cancel clearly? Can staff tell whether money was authorized? Does the cabinet remain ready for the next person? This short exercise often reveals more than another uninterrupted demonstration.

For a proposed Czech venue, the customer walkthrough should cover the physical reader, the cabinet’s instructions and the operator’s support procedure together. In particular, guests need room and time to complete any additional card or PIN interaction the payment flow requests. A contactless opening gesture does not guarantee that every transaction will finish with one tap.

Prepare the Czech configuration

Stripe’s Czech Republic guidance specifies CZK Terminal payments with the appropriate Czech account and local Location, and lists WisePad 3 as an available reader. The operator normally purchases and registers the reader through its own eligible account. Check current account requirements and the intended installation environment before committing to the rollout.

CoreCharge’s matched WisePad 3 route uses the native Android rental application and Terminal SDK inside the cabinet. No separate cashier phone is needed as the usual host. Stripe processes payments into the operator’s account, while CoreCharge relates the payment to the rental order, battery release, return and configured pricing.

Run a walkthrough with two observers

One observer follows the customer’s physical actions; the other records the order and payment outcome. Use controlled tests and authorized access. Never record a PIN or full card details in the acceptance file. The deliverable is a short signed walkthrough sheet, not a recording of sensitive payment information.

Test moment Customer experience to check Operator evidence
Price review CZK amount, tariff and authorization explanation are readable Approved tariff version and screen photograph
Card presentation Tap or insertion guidance is visible Correct reader and rental reference
Additional action Reader remains accessible for the requested step Observed prompt and eventual payment outcome
Cancellation Guest can understand whether the attempt has ended Original payment and order states checked
Successful borrowing Released slot and battery are clear One payment matched to one release
Return Guest sees a useful completion message Return event, rental end and financial result matched

Do not turn a prompt into a false failure

A reader may still be waiting for the customer when someone assumes the payment has stalled. Teach staff to read the current instruction before touching the equipment. They should not ask a guest to present the card repeatedly or restart the cabinet just because the interaction takes longer than the simplest demonstration.

The Terminal payment flow distinguishes payment stages and handling of unsuccessful attempts. In the rental project, use those distinctions to define the configured application’s response and support procedure. The actual state must be checked before another payment or release attempt is initiated.

Write one cancellation explanation for staff

A useful provisional instruction is: “We will check the original attempt before asking you to try again.” That wording avoids promising that every cancellation instantly reverses every financial effect. The authorized operator can determine whether there was no completed authorization, an authorization to cancel, or a captured payment requiring a different action.

Keep that procedure with the authorization release and refund guide. Also use the first-station acceptance manual to ensure the rehearsal ends with a real return and final reconciliation, rather than stopping at the reader’s success indication.

Approve the physical installation as well

Check viewing angle, cable strain, access to the reader and space around the return slots. A new guest should not need to lift the terminal out of an insecure mount to finish a payment. Confirm with the relevant parties that the selected attended, semi-attended or unattended setting is appropriate; an integrated reader is not universal site approval.

Review the CoreCharge reader-ready cabinet route, then share the Czech venue layout and intended CZK tariff. The next useful step is a customer walkthrough that the local team can repeat before opening.
