A station can produce more rentals while contributing less to the business if each extra order requires costly servicing or leaves an unresolved refund. For a Danish power-bank pilot, build a per-rental cost sheet before using transaction count as an expansion target. The sheet should connect real completed orders with the costs of keeping that venue usable.

Define the Danish reader and account route

Stripe lists WisePad 3 for Denmark and requires DKK Terminal transactions with a matching Danish receiving account and reader Location. Its regional guidance describes co-branded Dankort acceptance over the co-brand rails; this should not be presented as universal domestic Dankort support.

The CoreCharge matched route uses a native Android application and Terminal SDK inside the cabinet, connected to the reader through the agreed USB arrangement. An external merchant phone is unnecessary for ordinary integrated operation. CoreCharge connects orders, release, return and pricing; Stripe processes rental payments into the operator’s own local account.

Choose a cost denominator that can be reconciled

Use completed, financially checked rentals for the chosen period. Keep cancelled attempts, unresolved payments and corrections visible rather than silently counting them as successful orders. Match the relevant CoreCharge operating export with the Stripe payment reference and agree the reporting cutoff.

Define the rent basis with your accountant and venue agreement. A consumer-facing price, qualifying venue revenue and money deposited into the bank may be different amounts. Stripe’s balance reporting distinguishes activity, fees and payouts; do not substitute a bank deposit for the period’s rental revenue.

Build the worksheet from actual records

Per-rental line Illustrative DKK Replace the example with
Qualifying rental income 10.00 The agreed revenue basis after applicable adjustments.
Payment processing cost 1.00 Actual fees for the relevant payments, not a universal quoted rate.
Venue entitlement 2.00 The signed commercial agreement’s calculation.
Service visit allocation 3.00 For example, a DKK 300 visit divided by 100 completed rentals.
Loss and maintenance allowance 0.80 An explicit planning assumption, later compared with real events.
Connectivity and operating allocation 0.60 The period’s applicable cost divided consistently.
Remaining contribution 2.60 Income less the listed costs, before excluded capital and other expenses.

Every number above is illustrative. It is neither a Danish market benchmark nor a Stripe fee quote or earnings forecast. Hardware purchase, financing, taxes and other unlisted costs still need their own treatment. The purpose is to make assumptions visible, not to produce a reassuring profit figure.

Stress the service visit assumption

The DKK 300 visit costs DKK 3 per rental at 100 rentals. At only 30 rentals it costs DKK 10 per rental. Holding the other illustrative lines constant would change the remaining contribution to negative DKK 4.40. That does not prove the venue should close; it shows which operating assumption needs investigation.

Ask whether the visit was driven by empty stock, full return slots, poor reader placement or an avoidable support task. Record travel and work time. A nearby venue that helps balance the return network may change the service route, but count that benefit only after observing it.

Keep venue entitlement separate from payout

A worksheet showing an amount owed to a venue does not mean Stripe automatically splits or transfers that amount. Record the agreed calculation, approval and actual payment reference separately. CoreCharge operating reports support the review; the commercial arrangement determines the entitlement.

Use the daily reconciliation manual to organize underlying records. The tariff boundary-testing guide is also useful when checking that a new DKK price produces the intended rental calculation; adapt its examples rather than copying PLN values.

Expand the tested operating model

Review the worksheet after several representative operating periods and resolve unmatched orders before judging a venue. Confirm reader suitability and the actual staffed or unattended arrangement separately. Explore the CoreCharge reader station solution, or request a Danish pilot and reporting outline with your venue terms and service area.
