The return journey can fail at a locked door even when every payment and cabinet function works correctly. For an indoor power-bank station in Finland, define when a customer can reach the return slots before promoting the service. Building opening hours, reception hours and access to the actual cabinet may be three different schedules.
The useful deliverable is a return-access sheet: one page connecting the physical route, opening hours, available alternatives and the person who handles an exception. It is an operating document to prepare for the venue, not a claim that these checks happen automatically in software.
Walk the route from outside the building
Begin at the entrance a first-time visitor will use. Note reception barriers, internal doors, lifts and any area that becomes restricted later in the day. A cabinet visible through glass is not necessarily reachable. Ask the venue to confirm who can authorize access and what changes at weekends or during private events.
Position the reader where the price can be read before payment and the return slots can be approached without obstructing service. Ask someone unfamiliar with the site to find the station using only the proposed directions. Record any point where a staff explanation is required.
Prepare the Finnish payment foundation
Stripe’s Finnish regional guide lists WisePad 3 support and EUR Terminal transactions with a Finnish receiving account and reader Location. The local operator purchases and registers its reader through its own eligible Stripe account. Funds are processed into that account.
In CoreCharge’s matched cabinet route, the native Android rental application and Terminal SDK run on the internal controller. The WisePad 3 is the card reader, connected through the agreed Android USB arrangement. No separate staff phone or tablet is needed to host an ordinary payment. CoreCharge links the order with release, return, pricing and operating records.
| Access-sheet field | What to confirm on site | Customer consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Entrance and floor | The route people can actually use. | Directions lead to the cabinet, not merely the building. |
| Last accessible return time | Doors and internal area access. | Customers understand the practical deadline. |
| Return capacity | Usable empty slots and expected stock movement. | A customer can insert the rented bank. |
| Alternative location | Compatible network membership and actual opening hours. | An alternative is real and reachable. |
| Exception contact | Who can help when access or recognition fails. | The guest has a clear support route. |
Decide what happens near closing
Review a late borrowing scenario with the venue. Explain the remaining access window before the customer starts, and define the operator’s procedure if that window is no longer reasonable. Do not advertise a universal automatic last-rental cutoff unless that behaviour has been specifically configured and verified.
If another compatible station is offered as a return option, complete a cross-station test inside the agreed network. Confirm its location, access and available capacity. A shared logo or a map pin does not establish that a different cabinet will accept the bank.
The return-network planning guide explains how to define those boundaries. The dispersed-venue guide adds useful service-route considerations when the next station is not nearby.
Test the last return as well as the first borrow
During acceptance, use a controlled live rental, remove the identified bank and return it to an approved slot. Compare the physical return with the order and final payment result. Then rehearse the support conversation for a missing return event without asking for full card data.
Repeat the access walk near the actual closing time. Confirm which doors are locked first and whether staff can still reach the cabinet. The dashboard’s device and slot status can support the operator’s check, but it cannot unlock a closed building or guarantee that a guest can enter.
Publish directions your venue can maintain
Assign a person to update return hours and support information when the building schedule changes. Inspect this information during routine visits. Confirm equipment suitability and the proposed staffed or unattended operating environment separately from the payment integration.
Review the CoreCharge reader station solution and request a Finnish venue access and acceptance plan with your proposed location, opening hours and return options.
