A tariff is ready when a customer, the rental system and the payment record reach the same amount from the same example. For a Hungarian power-bank project, the audit should begin with a HUF worksheet that makes charging boundaries, rounding and caps explicit. A translated price label alone cannot establish that the configured calculation is correct.
Confirm access before preparing live prices
The current Hungary Terminal guidance is labelled Private preview and specifies Hungarian forint transactions with the appropriate Hungarian account and Location. WisePad 3 appears in the regional reader list. The operator needs Stripe’s confirmation of account preview access, local reader procurement and the intended use scenario before a live deployment is committed. Reader purchase and registration go through the operator’s own eligible local account.
CoreCharge’s completed matched integration runs the native Android rental application and Terminal SDK inside the cabinet, using the agreed USB connection and power arrangement for WisePad 3. The reader is the card interface; customers do not need an additional merchant phone. Stripe processes funds in the operator’s own account, while CoreCharge connects payment status, orders, dispensing, returns and configured rent.
Approve the intended attended or semi-attended venue arrangement separately from the tariff. A fully unattended placement requires its own reader-use suitability confirmation.
Write one small tariff completely
Consider an illustrative test rule: HUF 400 for up to and including the first 60 minutes, HUF 200 for each started additional hour, and HUF 1,000 maximum within one defined 24-hour period. Billing starts at the confirmed release event. These sample amounts are not a commercial recommendation.
The operator must also define what happens in a second 24-hour period, when no unit is released, and when a unit is not returned. Keep the temporary authorisation amount separate from the rent table. A non-return amount in the tariff does not guarantee that the payment method permits a later charge.
| Controlled example | Expected rent under this sample | Evidence to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Cancellation without release | No rental time starts | Order, device result and appropriate payment outcome |
| Return at 59 minutes 59 seconds | HUF 400 | Recorded duration and customer explanation |
| Return at exactly 60 minutes | HUF 400 | Explicit boundary handling |
| Return at 60 minutes 1 second | HUF 600 | One started additional hour |
| Return at four hours within the defined day | HUF 1,000 | Cap and calculated total agree |
Use controlled test cases rather than waiting for real customers to discover these boundaries. If the chosen rules cannot express the sample as written, revise the policy or configuration before publishing it.
Check amount representation separately
Stripe treats HUF charges as two-decimal amounts, with different whole-unit constraints for payouts. Its currency documentation explains the distinction. The integration team should verify payment amount units independently of the rounded whole-forint prices chosen for the customer panel.
Do not copy a payout rounding rule into the rental calculation. Ask the team to demonstrate that a displayed HUF 400 charge remains HUF 400 in the rental order and Stripe record. This is a focused consistency test, not a reason for venue staff to enter raw payment-request amounts.
Audit the words beside the numbers
Use one approved Hungarian tariff version across the cabinet, any printed panel, the support explanation and the agreed receipt route. Identify whether “day” means a fixed 24-hour period or another defined interval. Explain any free time, authorisation and return restrictions without contradicting the configured rules.
The PLN tariff guide explores the link between pricing policy and payment capacity. The operating manual helps connect the final HUF amount to reconciliation.
Approve the worksheet with a version and effective time. Retain the terms associated with existing orders when changing prices; verify how the configured system applies a change to rentals already in progress.
Explore CoreCharge reader-ready stations or request a Hungary tariff and payment-flow review with your proposed HUF rules and venue scenario.
