A spare part is useful only if it matches the equipment, reaches the right person and can be installed under an agreed procedure. Filling a box with miscellaneous cables is not a service plan. For a proposed Maltese hospitality pilot, decide what failures the local team should be able to address and what needs supplier support.

The working deliverable is a spare-stock sheet with part identity, compatibility, storage location, owner and replenishment trigger. Use confirmed supplier information and actual pilot observations. Do not turn an estimated shipping time into a guaranteed restoration promise.

Confirm preview access before ordering the payment hardware

Reviewed on 17 October 2026, Stripe’s Malta guidance labels Terminal Private preview. Obtain confirmed access for the intended account and Maltese market before purchasing a reader or committing to a public launch. The reader table alone does not mean all local accounts are enabled.

The planned route uses an eligible Maltese receiving account, local Terminal Location and EUR. The operator normally buys and registers the approved WisePad 3 locally through its own account. Confirm the proposed venue and staffing arrangement separately; preview access is not a blanket approval for unattended installations.

Separate four kinds of reserve

Reserve What to identify What to verify before relying on it
Borrowable power banks Compatible battery model and inventory owner Condition, charging and recognition by the assigned network
Service accessories Agreed data cable, mounting parts and power accessories Exact compatibility and authorized replacement procedure
Reader contingency Locally eligible reader and account relationship Procurement access, registration and reacceptance requirements
Cabinet contingency Whether a reserve unit is justified for the pilot Matching software, operator binding and site setup

Keep battery inventory distinct from repair stock. A venue short of borrowable batteries needs replenishment or rebalancing; it does not necessarily have a hardware fault. Likewise, an apparently disconnected reader may have a configuration or cable problem. Diagnose the condition before consuming a spare or requesting a replacement.

Build the list from the supplied configuration

CoreCharge’s matched reader-ready route runs the native Android rental application and Terminal SDK on the controller inside the cabinet. WisePad 3 connects through the agreed data path; a separate cashier phone is not the ordinary host. Stripe processes payments into the operator’s account, while CoreCharge links orders, release, return and pricing.

Record the cabinet identifier and the actual parts supplied. A cable that provides power is not proof of a compatible data connection. For any accessory the local team is allowed to replace, keep an identification photograph and a short approved procedure. Parts requiring deeper service should remain with the authorized technical team.

Ask for lead-time evidence at each purchasing step

For each item, record the current stock confirmation, expected dispatch basis and delivery estimate source. Reader procurement and battery replenishment may follow different channels. Do not assume that a previous shipment predicts the next one, or that a battery shipment can use the same route as an ordinary accessory parcel.

The dispersed-venue rollout guide helps frame local support coverage. The station acceptance manual gives a useful reacceptance basis after a replacement. Neither replaces a written supply commitment for the Maltese order.

Run a service drill before the busy period

Ask the local contact to find the correct spare, identify the equipment it belongs to and explain when to escalate. Then rehearse the permitted replacement under controlled conditions. Recheck a complete borrowing and return sequence before reopening any station affected by the change.

Review the stock sheet against actual incidents during the pilot. Set a replenishment trigger from observed usage and confirmed supply conditions, without assuming a fixed failure rate or payback period. Warranty scope, spare inclusion and freight responsibilities belong in the written order; they are not universal free-stock policies.

Review the CoreCharge reader-ready equipment route, then share the Maltese venue plan, proposed cabinet model and local service arrangements. After preview eligibility is established, those inputs can become a practical spare-stock and acceptance pack.
