A cabinet is handed to a venue, spare power banks arrive in another box, and the reader was purchased directly by the operator. Without a joint record, each person can believe that someone else checked the missing part. A two-person handover gives a Norwegian rental project one agreed picture of its equipment and responsibilities.
Use this procedure when opening a venue, changing its day-to-day contact or handing equipment to a service partner. It creates a physical asset and acceptance record. It does not automatically transfer ownership of the hardware, the Stripe account or the rental business.
Name the two people and the equipment
Have an authorized operator representative and the venue contact inspect the station together. Record who owns each item and who is responsible for keeping it available. A reader bought locally by the operator should remain identifiable alongside the cabinet supplied through the agreed CoreCharge configuration.
Stripe lists WisePad 3 for Norway and requires NOK Terminal transactions with a matching Norwegian receiving account and reader Location. The operator purchases and registers its reader through its own eligible local Stripe account. Stripe processes rental payments into that account; a venue handover must not silently change the payment owner.
Inspect one system, record several assets
| Handover item | Joint inspection | Record or decision |
|---|---|---|
| Cabinet | Model, serial, physical condition and installed position. | Owner, venue code and service access. |
| Reader | Identity, mount and normal card access. | Responsible operator and registered venue mapping. |
| Power and data connection | Supplied accessories, cable condition and agreed network. | Who maintains connectivity and reports a fault. |
| Banks inside the station | Physical count compared with the operating view. | Available units, occupied slots and discrepancies. |
| Spare stock | Count, condition and storage location. | Custodian and procedure for recording movement. |
| Customer materials | NOK tariff, return instructions and support contact. | Approved version and the next review owner. |
Show the venue what the integrated reader actually does
In CoreCharge’s matched WisePad 3 route, the native Android rental application and Terminal SDK run inside the cabinet. The reader uses the agreed USB connection and cabinet power arrangement. A separate staff phone is not required to host an ordinary transaction.
CoreCharge links the payment outcome with orders, dispensing, return and rent calculation. During the handover, let the venue contact watch a controlled borrow and return, then explain the result back to the operator. The test should identify the actual released bank and the corresponding order, not just show a contactless gesture.
Use the station acceptance manual for a fuller test record. Keep the distinction between delivery acceptance and ongoing service responsibilities explicit.
Keep stock movement visible
Write down the starting physical count and compare it with the dashboard’s battery and slot information. If those disagree, investigate before signing off. Record spare-bank movements with the date, station, quantity and available unit identifiers. This can be a controlled operating sheet; do not imply that every warehouse movement is already automated.
Spare units are useful only when the team knows who may install them and how their movement is recorded. Avoid mixing an unverified bank type into the operating stock simply because it fits physically. Confirm compatibility and the intended replenishment procedure with the supplier.
End with responsibilities, not passwords
Give staff the opening check, station code and fault-reporting contact. Use the agreed role-based dashboard access for the venue’s actual duties. Do not hand over payment secrets or a shared administrator login as part of an equipment checklist.
Document who handles an inaccessible return, a missing release or an uncertain payment. The project responsibility guide provides a useful broader division of duties. Confirm reader suitability and any attended or unattended use conditions for the actual Norwegian venue.
