Moving a power-bank cabinet is a change to an operating service. The destination address, return instructions, reader assignment and staff contact all change around the same physical asset. Treating the move as a courier job can leave the old venue advertised as a return point or a new payment associated with the wrong location.

For a Slovenian operator, create one relocation record with a before state, an approved destination and a reopening result. The cabinet serial stays traceable throughout; historical rentals retain their original context.

Before the move: confirm eligibility and ownership

The current Stripe Slovenia page marks Terminal integration Private preview, specifies EUR and requires the appropriate Slovenian account and Location. WisePad 3 is listed. Confirm the operator’s preview access, reader procurement route and intended destination scenario with Stripe before committing to installation or public opening. The operator purchases and registers the reader through its own eligible local account.

CoreCharge already provides the matched WisePad 3 integration: the cabinet’s internal Android controller runs the native rental application and Terminal SDK. The approved USB data and power arrangement connects the reader without an additional staff phone. Stripe processes funds in the operator’s own account; CoreCharge links payment results to the rental and device workflow.

This guide proposes a relocation procedure, not an assertion that the platform automatically completes every step or that this configuration has already operated in Slovenia.

Step one: close the old site deliberately

Choose a cut-off for new borrowing and check existing rentals. Tell the venue what happens to customers who borrowed before the move. Provide a genuine alternative return point if one is available and approved; otherwise agree a supported resolution before removing the station.

Capture the stock count, outstanding issues, venue mapping and current configuration version. Do not erase unresolved orders to make the handover look clean. Record who authorises stock transfers and who updates the customer-facing return information.

Relocation stage Keep or change Evidence
Close origin Keep historical orders and origin details Cut-off time, open-rental list and stock count
Transport Keep cabinet and reader identities Serials, packed components and custody handover
Configure destination Review address, Location and venue assignment Approved destination record and payment mapping
Reopen Publish the new return and support details Successful site test and authorised release

Step two: update the current mapping, not the history

A Stripe Location represents an operating site. Review whether the move requires an updated Location or a newly created one and reader reassignment, following the integration team’s approved process. Do not preserve an obsolete address merely to avoid configuration work. Stripe’s Location management guidance also makes clear that a Location’s country cannot be changed.

A move within Slovenia should remain a Slovenian deployment. A move across a border requires a separate country, account and currency review, even when the cabinet and euro tariff look unchanged. The European deployment matrix explains the additional decisions.

Step three: accept the destination as a new site

Check power, approved connectivity, reader access and physical return capacity. Confirm the cabinet belongs to the intended operator and venue in the dashboard. Inspect the displayed tariff and support contact from a customer’s position.

Establish whether staff can assist throughout service hours. Recheck reader suitability if the move changes an attended or semi-attended counter into a fully unattended placement; the old site’s technical result does not approve the new arrangement.

Run a controlled borrow and return, then match the order, release event, return time and payment result. Test a supported cross-station return if the destination joins an existing compatible network. Record the outcome without claiming that an untested outage or automatic recovery behaviour is established.

Use the first-station acceptance manual as the reusable test pack. The relocation record should identify who approved reopening and when the first operating review will occur.

Explore the CoreCharge reader station route or request a Slovenia relocation checklist with the old and proposed venue arrangements.
