A quiet venue becomes busier, and the operator decides to change its rental price. The difficult part is often not entering the new amount; it is knowing which customers saw which terms and which rule applies to a power bank already borrowed. A Swedish station needs a deliberate price cutover, supported by a record the team can explain later.

Make a small change record before touching the tariff

Identify the station or group of stations, the existing SEK rule, the proposed rule and the person authorized to approve it. Include billing interval, any free period, cap, authorization amount and non-return terms where relevant. Choose a change window with someone available to check the customer display and first completed order.

This is an operator procedure. CoreCharge supports role-based pricing and rental records, but a written cutover sheet should not be mistaken for a promise of automatic scheduled pricing, built-in approval workflows or a complete native audit-history feature.

Keep the Swedish payment setup consistent

Stripe’s Swedish regional guidance lists WisePad 3 and requires SEK Terminal transactions with the receiving account and reader Location in Sweden. The operator buys and registers the reader through its own eligible local account. Rental payments enter that account.

CoreCharge’s matched configuration runs the native Android application and Terminal SDK on the cabinet controller. The WisePad 3 is the connected reader, with the agreed USB and power arrangement; a separate merchant phone is not required. CoreCharge links payment state to orders, dispensing, return and pricing, while Stripe processes the money.

Use a cutover acceptance sheet

Change point Decision or test Evidence to retain
Scope Which stations and operator role can make the change? Station list and named approver.
Effective moment When should new terms become visible? Local timestamp and the agreed implementation sequence.
Customer information Do all price panels explain the same SEK tariff? Before-and-after screenshots or photographs.
Open rentals Which rule applies to an order already in progress? Confirmed system behaviour and operator decision.
New rental Does a controlled order use the new intended rule? Order, return time, calculation and payment reference.
Correction plan What happens if the first check fails? Responsible person and tested recovery steps.

Resolve open orders before making promises

List active rentals at the cutover and confirm how the actual implementation treats their pricing. Do not assume that changing a dashboard setting should recalculate existing orders, or that the platform automatically preserves every earlier screen. Retain the approved former tariff and the available order evidence outside the change record where necessary.

For authorization-based rentals, a higher advertised non-return amount does not enlarge an existing card authorization. Capture conditions and validity remain payment constraints. If the commercial change also affects the payment design, treat that as a separate reviewed change rather than a simple price edit.

Test the boundary that matters

Use controlled tests immediately before and after the agreed change point, in the appropriate environment. Check a short rental, a billing-interval boundary and the daily cap if one is used. Then complete a controlled live borrow and return under the approved procedure. Match the final SEK amount to the displayed rule and the Stripe result.

Review Swedish and any additional customer wording with the venue. A printed sign left at last week’s price can undermine a correct backend configuration. Ask shift staff to explain the new rule without relying on the person who made the change.

The pricing boundary-test guide provides additional test ideas, while the operating reconciliation manual helps check the first affected orders.

Close the change after the evidence agrees

Record approval only after the display, order calculation and payment outcome align. Investigate a mismatch before applying the change to more stations. Reader suitability and the proposed operating environment still need separate confirmation. Review CoreCharge’s physical-reader route, or request a Swedish pricing and acceptance walkthrough for your actual tariff.
